Software: Adobe Photoshop CS2
Time: 5 minutes
1. OK, first open up the piece you wish to put the text sweep on.

2. Now, go Layer / New Layer, this layer needs to be set right above your text layer.

3. Now click your Paint Bucket Tool and change it to the Gradient Tool, your top tool bar should now look like this.

4. If not, just click the neccessary changes (remember the colour in the gradient box can be changed in your left tool bar).
5. To add the gradient stroke, just hover the cursor over the text, now hold down BOTH the shift key and left click mouse button, and drag to the right about 10mm, your piece should now look like this.

6. To set the gradient behind the text only, press Ctrl + Alt + G. Heres the result.

7. OK, lets now jump to image ready. When image ready is open, click window, scroll down and click animation. This will place an animation bar under your piece.

8. Now your gradient layer should be highlighted already, but if not, just click it.
9. Now to move the gradient, pres Shift, left click and hold the gradient stroke on the text, now drag the gradient to the left of your piece until you can no longer see the gradient.

10. Now using the same procedure as before, this time drag the gradient to the right until it dissapears off the text.
11. OK, now we need tween (animate) the frames, just to the left of the duplicate frame square are 4 small circles, click this and a tween box appears.

12. The number of frame you have here will dictate how fast animation is (12 frames - 1 second). Put in the number of frames you want and click OK. All thats left to do is put a pause in the sweep, click the last frame on your animation bar and a box appears, just click a preset delay time, or other for personal choice.

13. Thats it, job done. Press the play button on the animation bar to view your animation. All thats left to do is save the piece....
